You can’t fail to hhve noticed the stories about Tesla EV car sales plummeting 15% year on year this week – oh unless you’re stuck in the right wing news ecosystem in which case you were probably told Tesla sales increased by 15%, lucky you!

Well, they didn’t. They dropped by 15%.

As consumers across the world familiarised themselves with the recent extreme right wing offering of Musk, probably the most powerful unelected offical in the world right now (sorry Mr Putin, you might be richer but Musk has currently got more power), and his unhinged and ludicrous antics it was perhaps fairly obvious in hindsight. His distasteful comments, promotion of the extreme right in his adopted USA and in Europe, Nazi salutes and all the rest of it feels unpalatable for the kind of people who might consider purchasing an EV. And consider how he’s tied his name to the Brand through years of shameless self promotion, it makes it an easy and obvious target. Don’t like Musk the man, well sell your shitty Tesla shares and sell your shitty Tesla.

It’s even funnier now that Donald ‘Krasnov’ ‘Adjudicated Rapist’ Trump has announced he is buying a Tesla today. Hahaha, that image will drive away even more customers. These fucking idiots are completely blinded by ego and wealth. I’m not sure Trump, the ancient sack of shit, has a driving license or the competence to operate an automobile so the gesture is doubly absurd all round.

I can’t see the Maga movement getting behind Tesla because (‘drill, baby, drill’) they prefer a fossil fuel guzzlin, climate change inducin combustion engine for the most part. Perhaps Tesla will ditch the batteries and go down that road? They will need to do something to avoid ending up as an also ran in the automotive industry. All I can say is I’m enjoying this allot and look forward to Musk continuing to chainsaw away at his liberal customer base.
